I can't believe I have not blog in nearly a month! It has not been from lacking of trying! Just our May this year has been SUPER SUPER BUSY!
We - the Hall clan are buying our first ever home!!! We are all very excited, and after a grueling, frustrating and terribly tiresome month long search of internet, newspapers, real estate agents and driving all over Newcastle, it looks as though we will be signing our contracts tomorrow and packing up our tribe and moving in - hopefully in the July School Holidays.
There have been tears - while we waited for our finance approval from the Mortgage insurers, we were "gazumped" (sp) by another couple - at the time we were heart broken - the house was huge - lots of potential and room for the kids to grow up in, but we took it as a sign from God that it was not to be our home and got on with looking - we decided it was time to look at all suburbs, even ones we didn't see ourselves in, and keeping in mind that as man of the house is a builder, we could fix anything - there has been LOTS of "fixer uppers" some I even considered to be "knock em' downers" but nothing grabbed us as our "home". We found a nice house last week, and decided it may be what we wanted, but over the weekend I got cold feet, told William I wanted to spend a day or two looking at a couple of others, and then we found THE one - four bedrooms, play room for the girls, oodles of storage and a space for me and my new venture (will share that in another post!) and most importantly - it felt made for us - close to where William and I first lived together (actually we can see our old house from the back yard) and room to grow - we are quietly excited - the girls are eager - we have even been to pick paint colours for their rooms, and so now we will begin to pack up the life we have here move to the next stage of our lives - home owners!! (and on a funny note, our repayments are just $4 more than our rent now!!)
Now, the everyday class is still going to run, I have been very busy planning and scrapping my journal, and designing doodle sheets to go with each week - if you are interested in joining us for a month of fun looking at the everyday little things - please email me at jenandwill@bigpond.com. By no means will the quality of the class change due to our upcoming move - I'm organised!! Emails are going out tomorrow with class update!
So on the home front - this month has pretty much revolved around house hunting, open houses, etc but here is a small update on the tribe...
Man of the house returned to soccer as you know - third game back.. got injured!! I personally think he broke his foot, but he just won't go get it x-rayed! So no soccer for now!
Lolly-pop is loving her Sunday morning soccer games - we are too - hanging out in the sunshine, playing with the puppies that come to the game and spending time all together as a family.
Tbird - went and danced for Marnie's childcare during international dance week - had the whole centre totally captivated - and Marnie so proud that it was HER big siste performing!

Milly and Moo got these super cute shirts to wear on Mother's day (www.mooo.com.au) just love them!! I let the girls pick colour and designs - the shirts are great quality and very fast delivery - we are eyeing off father's day ones now!! and I had a very nice quiet mother's day at home with the family too! Spoilt with another pandora charm, scrap voucher and mother's day stall gifts!
and just because I can... my favourite photo for may - with my new rainbow umbrella!
We have two special birthday folk in our house on Friday - any guesses???
